Overview
Mercedes-Benz will offer the “AMG Line Package” on the improved new version of its minivan “Mercedes v Class” in Europe. The company plans to begin accepting local orders in January 2024.
The AMG Line Package is a sporty option available for all Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The improved new Mercedes v Class also comes with the AMG line package.
The AMG line package features a sporty interior and exterior. The front bumper has black and plated slits in the left and right intake areas. Underfoot are 5-spoke aluminum wheels paired with 245/45 size tires. The front grille has a light bar built into it. The dashboard in the interior has a panel that looks like carbon. The seats are finished in black.
The updated model features a redesigned front. The three-pointed star is still situated on the front grille of the AMG Line trim. But now that the grille is extended downward, it’s even more striking. Along with a fresh look, the bumper sports an AMG-inspired ventilation grille. A chrome star-patterned radiator grille is a component of the AMG Line package. It has a central star and two slats with chrome inlays.
The LED taillights and bumper at the back have been revised. The taillight outline has become darker. The rear gate gets a new chrome trim strip with Mercedes-Benz lettering. It also features a rear bumper with chrome loading edge protection.
There are twelve body colors to choose from. The metallic finishes are Obsidian Black, Graphite Gray, Rock Crystal White, Hyacinth Red, solid Arctic White, Steel Blue, and Jupiter Red. The available colors are high-tech silver metallic, Kalahari gold metallic, Alpine gray, and vintage blue.

Mercedes v Class changes?
The aggressively sculpted bumper and new radiator grille are two prominent characteristics of the front design of the new Mercedes v Class. The top-of-the-line Mercedes v Class Exclusive now has an upright Mercedes-Benz hood ornament. In contrast, the EQV, V-Class, and V-Class Marco Polo have an LED light band encircling the radiator grille, depending on the specification.
An Overview Of Interiors, Comfort, And Cargo
The Mercedes v Class is one of the poshest people carriers available, with a gorgeous cabin, but some of its infotainment feels obsolete. The inside of the Mercedes v Class feels like it could be more practical, unlike many large people carriers. Instead, it has a slick design and plenty of plush-feeling materials like those in Mercedes cars.
The dashboard, for example, has a soft, yielding finish, and its sweeping design looks similar to that of the C-Class saloon. You also receive a row of nearly identical air vents, but instead of brushed chrome, they are black, and there is a straightforward row of sturdy, easy-to-use buttons.
The free-standing infotainment display is less slick than the integrated dual-screen units in a conventional Mercedes car. But it looks far more excellent than the small infotainment screen in a Toyota Proace Verso.
The faux-leather seats feel nearly as cosseting as the real thing, and the contrasting stitching on higher-spec models is arrow straight. The door bins come with nice felt-lined pockets to stop items rattling around on the move, and you can get the Mercedes V Class with a suede-like roof lining that looks and feels great.
The Mercedes V Class has a 7.0-inch infotainment display as standard equipment. Although it is less perfectly incorporated into the dashboard than some MPVs’ screens, it is still relatively bright, and the visuals, while not exceptionally crisp, are easily read while driving.
Instead of a touchscreen, the rotary dial on the dashboard is used to go through the system’s menus. This means you don’t need to take your eyes off the road for too long to select the suitable feature, but the awkward position of the bulky handrest won’t suit everyone.
Satellite navigation comes as standard. But it isn’t effortless to pan or zoom into the system’s maps using the rotary dial – a touchscreen is much more intuitive. Things get a little easier if you pay extra for an Exclusive model thanks to its larger 8.4-inch display. However, unlike most other Mercedes vehicles, your phone’s navigation and music-streaming apps cannot be mirrored through the Mercedes V Class screen.
At least these high-end vehicles have a more robust Burmester sound system and real-time traffic information. But this doesn’t sound as good as the similar unit fitted to many Mercedes SUVs.
The loadspace behind the rearmost seats is remarkable, delivering up to 1,410 liters with the seats in place on Extra Long models (remove the rear chairs and it increases to 4,630 litres), while the Long model still has room for 1,030 litres with all the seats fitted.
Specs Of Engines, Transmissions, And Performance
This time, the main changes to the Mercedes V Class include adopting the latest in line 4-cylinder 2.0-liter clean diesel engine and 9-speed AT “9G-TRONIC” for all V-Class models.
The latest in-line 4-cylinder 2.0-litre clean diesel engine, “OM654”, generates a maximum output of 120kW (163PS) and a maximum torque of 380Nm. It also reduces vibration and noise, ensuring a comfortable drive.
Additionally, by using materials with different coefficients of thermal expansion for the cylinder block and piston and by introducing the surface coating “NANOSLIDER” developed by Mercedes-Benz, friction is reduced, and efficiency is improved. Furthermore, RDE has been designed to focus on exhaust purification, such as shortening the exhaust gas purification path and adopting sDPF (DPF with SCR Coating), a particulate matter removal filter with selective catalytic reduction coating. All models use the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission. The wide range of gear ratios from 1st to 9th gear significantly reduces engine speed. They result in excellent energy efficiency and comfort.
MPG And Fuel Economy In Real-World Conditions
The new 2.0-liter diesel engine that powers the facelifted Mercedes V Class is claimed to be up to 13% more fuel-efficient and 17% lighter than the previous 2.1-liter engine. Only the range-topping V 300 d, which averages up to 47.9 mpg on the WLTP test regime and emits as little as 154g/km, has revealed numbers thus far.
